Appointments

We aim to offer flexible appointment times to suit our clients whenever possible. Certain times are more popular than others and get booked more in advance, such as late afternoon and early morning.

If you are an existing client, you are welcome to book your appointment online via this website's booking facility. You can book a number of appointments to enable you to get your most suited days and times. Please email us if you are a new client and have not attended the clinic before.

Alternatively, you can email your therapist or the team at info@thetherapyrooms.com.au. Often we may be with clients and unable to respond immediately but will always endeavor to get back to you as soon as possible. We prefer emails to telephone messages were possible.

Fees & Rebates

The different therapists in our practice charge different session rates depending on the area of practice, qualifications, the length of session and the medicare rebate or external agency fee schedules.

Our Clinical Psychologist fees (Zoe, Donna, Thane and Alex) are $240.00 per 50 minute appointment with a Medicare rebate of $141.85 if you have a Mental Health Plan from your GP, or a referral from a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. Medicare will rebate 10 sessions per calendar year (Jan to Dec), although the number of sessions you may attend with your Psychologist does not have this limit. For clients that have reached their medicare safety net, Medicare will then rebate 80% of all future out of pocket medical costs. Our Accredited Mental Health Social Workers; Cassie's fees are $215 per session face to face and $195 telehealth, with a Medicare rebate of $82.30. Tim's fees are $200 per session face to face and $185 telehealth with a rebate of $82.30. NDIS funded sessions $185.00 face-to-face or telehealth

Alternatively, most Private Health Funds provide a rebate for sessions under their extras cover, depending on the level of cover you have. You can call them to check this before your first appointment. The codes to ask for are P100 (initial appointment) and P200 subsequent appointments.

We also accept referrals from the Transport Accident Commission, Department of Veterans Affairs, Worksafe and Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal. A gap payment may be applicable.

You are also welcome to attend privately without a referral if you prefer.

We respect your time with us and as such we respectfully ask that cancellations are made with as much notice as possible. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, a cancellation fee of 50% of the full fee will be applied. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, a cancellation fee of 100% of the full fee will be applied. The practice is closed Saturday and Sunday. Cancellations for Monday must be made by 12.00pm on Friday. If a client fails to attend a scheduled appointment (and no notice is given), a cancellation fee of 100% of the full fee will be applied. In fairness to all clients, this policy must be applied across the board.
